VANS MUSICIANS WANTED CROWNS AUSTRALIAN ALT-POP MUSICIAN SHAHRAE AND JAPANESE HARDCORE BAND 999999999 AS THE DUAL WINNERS

Vans provides Asia-Pacific talents the Musicians Wanted platform to showcase their music creativity. Eight finalists went through the last showdown in the “Takeover” at House of Vans Chicago with Shahrae representing Australia and 999999999 from Japan came to the top as the winners. 

Japanese hardcore band 999999999 brought a thrilling performance to the House of Vans, dominating the stage with powerful music and movement; Australian alt-pop musician Shahrae performed a set of soul-capturing songs with her amazing voice together with smooth solo mastership of multi-instruments. Both musicians showcased high standard of creativity and authenticity, leading the judging panel to crown the dual winners with 999999999 earned a set of performance in the evening’s “Takeover” event live broadcasted by Boiler Room and Shahrae won a music video produced by MTV Asia.

The “Takeover” at House of Vans Chicago brought together the music performance by Chinese-born, U.S-based rapper Bohan Phoenix, Asia underground music crew Yeti Out, Chicago based rapper Mick Jenkins and US renowned hip-hop artist Kevin Gates. Vans would like to deliver the appreciation to all the musicians and music lovers who contributed to the success of Musicians Wanted program this year.
